Stinky Casino Omelet
On a blue sky puffy cloud day, who would go inside a dark stinky casino for breakfast? Only someone who loves to play penny slot machines, which are abundant at the Clearwater River Casino, or someone desperate for an omelet in the afternoon hours when other cafes recognize the rhythm of the day and stop serving omelets at 11 a.m. The casino recognizes no natural rhythms, and the omelet here is a perfect reflection of that. It tasted like plastic.
Bingo didn’t start until 5pm, so we played a few hands of gin rummy and sipped coffee from styrofoam cups while waiting for breakfast to be served. We seemed to be the only patrons under the age of 60. Everyone else our age must have been outside enjoying the beautiful day.
